The director of the local police of Shkodra, Edmond Sulaj, spoke about the assassination of Selami Brahim this evening in the "Xhabiej" neighborhood of the city.

Sulaj said that work is being done to clarify this event through the examination of security cameras, while the witnesses and the injured person are being questioned.

"At 17:50 here in the "Xhabiej" neighborhood, citizen Selami Brahimi was shot with a firearm, who was slightly injured and is receiving treatment in the Shkodra hospital.

An investigative group has been formed under the direction of the prosecution and is working on the complete documentation of the event. Security cameras are being taken and eyewitnesses who know about the incident are being questioned. In the meantime, the injured party will be interviewed. As for the causes, the investigation group is working to clarify the circumstances.

We are working intensively to solve it and we assure the citizens that the local police of Shkodra has all the capacities to solve such events", said director Sulaj.

Selami Brahimi was shot while inside the car, but was slightly injured and is now in the hospital out of danger.
