The Tirana Prosecutor's Office undertook an operation on January 31, which led to the arrest of four people.
Those arrested were citizens Gloris Nezaj, Rezarto Rumi and two brothers, Kelvin and Ardjan Caushi .
The news passed without much fanfare amid other developments of the day, but also due to the fact and tendency of the media to give more attention to similar news, but coming from SPAK.
The Tirana Prosecutor's Office distributed a notice a day later stating that " investigative actions have documented that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, supplied firearms to criminal groups operating mainly in the Tirana district, and that the role of each of them has been proven, from securing firearm parts, to storing, adapting and then selling them ."
According to this announcement, the four people operated as a structured criminal group, where each member had their own separate duties and responsibilities.
This is the first element that suggests that the file should have been automatically transferred to the Special Prosecution Office , which has jurisdiction over criminal groups.
This is reinforced by the second element. The Tirana Prosecutor's Office says that the firearms were ordered piecemeal from Kosovo and then modified and stored in the Selita area.
In this operation, the police say they have seized 3 automatic firearms, 5 pistols, two of which with silencers, a shotgun, other combat materials, as well as thousands of euros.
The arsenal of seized weapons shows not only the ability but also the high level of danger of this group, which is a credit to SPAK in terms of subject matter competence.
In these circumstances, the investigation and trial by the prosecution and ordinary courts favors the arrested, who escape the accusation of the structured criminal group./ VoxNews
