A 57-year-old man was found murdered in the early hours of the morning in the yard of his apartment in the village of Tale in Lezha. The victim, Pjetër Kaza, was discovered without signs of life around 05:00 by his wife, while it is suspected that he was shot with a firearm.

Pjetër Kaza worked in the Spac mine and according to the data, he returned to the apartment around 01:00 after midnight.

It is suspected that his murder is related to a long chain of revenge, which originated in 1994, with the murder of Ndue Kaza, former chief of crimes in the city of Rrëshen.

Ndue Kaza was killed on January 7, 1994 in the middle of the city of Rrëshen. The suspected perpetrators of this event were the brothers Dod and Augustin Gjini, who escaped after the crime. Three years later, in 1997, Martin Kaza, the victim's brother, executed the Gjini brothers in revenge in the city of Laç, for which he was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

The conflict did not end there. On April 28, 2024, in Belgium, another member of the Kaza family, Agustin Kaza, Peter's brother, was killed. He was shot dead in an Albanian bar in Brussels, where the perpetrators hit him several times in the head and chest.

Pjetër Kaza is the third victim in the Kaza family in the framework of this conflict, which seems to have been going on for more than three decades. The prosecution's investigations are focused on the blood feud track, while the police are working to identify the perpetrators and fully clarify the circumstances of the event.
