The second protest for the murder of 7-year-old Jonada Avdia has ended.
During the protest, the resignation of the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Tourism was demanded. The protesters have decided that the struggle or effort will be carried out through a petition that will be developed throughout Albania.
In the two protests that took place, there was no reaction from Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the dismissal of Bledi Çuçi and Mirela Kumbaro.
The protest lasted for about an hour and 45 minutes, while no incident was recorded.
Absent from this protest were Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, the leaders of the two political forces, the Democratic Party and the Freedom Party.
Ilirjana Kuçana, teacher, relative of the 7-year-old, called Prime Minister Edi Rama live to present the demands of the protesters, but he did not answer. She announced the launch of an online and physical petition to ask the prime minister to sack his ministers.
"We will continue to seek justice for Jonada in international institutions. We will launch an online and physical petition asking the Prime Minister to dismiss Ministers Çuçi and Kumbaro. We do this for the other Jonahs. Should someone be held responsible for every person who is killed by the state uniforms, by the prime minister", said Kuçana.
On August 2, the former head of the Himara Police Station, Arjan Tase, killed 7-year-old Avdia, while performing dangerous maneuvers with a speedboat on the beach of Potami in Himara.
In relation to this serious event, the Court of Vlora has given the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for the former officer Arjan Tase.
