Teacher: The first Prime Minister of Palestine was an Albanian
Teacher Mentor Beqa

Teacher Mentor Beqa told an interesting detail tonight.

He said that the first Palestinian government had an Albanian prime minister. Beqa revealed that he was Al-Arnauti, a famous personality of the post-Ottoman world.

"Just a curiosity. The first Palestinian government was located in Gaza and its prime minister was an Albanian, Al-Arnauti, a famous personality of the post-Ottoman world. He was the finance minister of Jordan for a long period and then at the moment when the state of Israel declared its independence, the Arab League created the state of Palestine, and its first prime minister was actually an Albanian", said Beqa in "Opinion".

On July 9, 1948, after Israel declared independence, the Arab League established the Administrative Council for Palestine, headed by Al Arnauti, whose real name was Ahmet Hilmi Abd al-Baqi.

On September 22 of that year, the National Assembly was established in Gaza where Amin al-Husayni was the President, while Al-Arnauti was the Prime Minister.

He was born in 1883 in Sidon in Lebanon. Some of the personalities of the Arab world at that time referred to him with the name Al-Arnauti. Al-Arnauti was also part of the army of the Ottoman Empire where he held the position of General.
