The Ambassador of Albania in Israel, Meri Kumbe, has announced that there are currently some Albanians in the Gaza Strip.

She said that it was discovered that there are brother and sister with Albanian passports.

Also, she emphasized that they have minor children who according to our laws are considered Albanian children.

Ambassador Kumbe informed that they are in contact with the Albanian embassy in Egypt, the necessary procedures have been done and they are awaiting instructions.

"We have two reported cases, citizens with Albanian passports that unfortunately we discovered because of the war that they existed, we didn't know before and that both citizens are brother and sister, they have minor children, which automatically according to the laws of the Albanian state are considered Albanian children.

"They are in contact with the Albanian embassy in Egypt. We have done the necessary procedures and are awaiting the instructions to come. This is a problem that has arisen in all countries. We are coordinating all the structures and countries with each other to see the possibilities and how it will be realized concretely", said the ambassador to "Opinion".

Kumbe informed that the crossing point with Israel is impossible and their exit can only be done through Egypt.

According to her, there will be an international coordination between many countries including the UN countries that will be included in the same passage corridor.
