The police have prevented the escalation of a gunfight in neighborhood no. 13, thanks to the immediate intervention of the General Patrol.

During the operation codenamed "Momentum", a 35-year-old, Geront Vrioni, was arrested in flagrante delicto in a bar, after being caught with a Kalashnikov firearm.

' During patrols aimed at ensuring public order and security, the General Patrol services of the Durrës Police Commissariat have ascertained a conflict between several citizens, in the premises of a bar in neighborhood no. 13. 

Immediately, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Momentum", an intervention was made with the aim of preventing the escalation of the conflict, as well as clarifying its circumstances.', the police announced.

The weapon was seized, and the arrested person is charged with “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition.” Investigations to clarify the circumstances and motive of the conflict are continuing under the direction of the Durrës Prosecutor's Office.

'The checks have established that one of the citizens involved in the conflict, specifically citizen GV, 35 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 13, Durrës, had a Kalashnikov firearm with him.

The Police Services neutralized and arrested the 35-year-old in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", and seized his firearm. ', the announcement continues.
