The Special Prosecutor's Office has also launched an investigation to uncover the July 31 operation that was organized to attack the gang of the two Çopja brothers in Elbasan.

The operation resulted in only 13 arrest warrants executed out of 33 that were issued by the decision of GJKKO.

The police are already in the 'sieve' of SPAK and the police leaders or others who knew about the operation have been interrogated by SPAK investigators.

During the month of August, Muhamet Rrumbullaku , then General Director of the State Police, was interrogated  .

Also, the director of Operations, Vilson Bala , the director of the Criminal Police department, Neritan Nallbati, as well as Edmond Rizai , who today leads the Directorate of Investigation in the State Police, were questioned  .

Likewise, the Special Prosecutor's Office also interrogated the director of the Elbasan Police, Ilir Proda, whose phone was seized. Proda is also in the running for the post of General Director of the State Police after the resignation of Rrumbullak.

 10 police agents and BKH investigators are also under investigation.
