Journalist Sokol Bregu spoke in "Top Story" about Arben Ahmetaj's position as Minister of Finance and the statement he made regarding the wealth he had during his retirement.

He said that the former minister made this statement when he appeared in the investigation.

"He came out somewhere in the interview and said that I don't need these hotels because since I became minister I was a billionaire, or that's what he said when he appeared in the investigation," said Bregu.

Among other things, the journalist stated that a billionaire cannot lead the Ministry of Finance.

"In six months he left office and the media investigated and found that this guy was very rich and had villas. He was forced after six months was only attracted by the popular perception, how a rich man could give influence to a people in his way or with all the decisions he would take in the capacity of the Minister of Finance. A billionaire in a rich country cannot be put in the Ministry of Finance. In the way of popular perception, it creates especially in poor countries like us", he further added.
