Another French tourist falls into the abyss, this time in the Mati highlands

A French tourist fell into the abyss today in Mat, while traveling with his vehicle type "Defender" in the village of Gjoçaj, Derjan administrative unit, on the road axis Kurbnesh-Dukagjin.

He was assisted by area residents, who rushed to the scene. It is learned that the tourist is around 70 years old and has suffered a shoulder injury. 

Helicopter transport was initially requested, but the tourist, after a conversation with the French embassy, ​​said that it was not necessary to send the aircraft.

Residents of the village of Gjoçaj are sending the injured to the hospital of Burrel, while the latter has sent an ambulance to the scene.

The investigative group is at the scene and is working to find out the causes of the vehicle going off the road.

We recall that two days ago two German tourists fell into the abyss in Aplet of Valbona, where one of them was found dead.
