Elira Varfi, 38, was handcuffed by the Gjirokastra police, after she was caught transporting cocaine on the Berat-Athens bus. 

During the physical search of 38-year-old Elira Varfi, the police found 10 packages of suspected narcotics, in 8 of which there were suspected narcotics heroin, while 2 packages contained suspected narcotics cocaine.

The narcotics were seized as material evidence. At the end of the actions carried out by the specialists for the Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Trafficking in DVP Gjirokastra, the citizen Elira Varfit, resident in Fier, was arrested in flagrante delicto. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics".
