The trial against the mayor of Vau i Dejës, Kristian Shkreli, suspected of electoral corruption, has begun at the Special Court.
Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha has secured the testimony of Alfred Martini, who stated that he was not oriented towards voting for Kristian Shkreli.
"I have nothing to answer for, because we went to Kristian Shkreli, because we didn't have electricity, we complained to 5 people. Thank you from him for bringing us the lights. We met at his bar, in Kryebushat. I called him, I told him I wanted to meet him, he said come and meet me, but after a week I believe. I was with my uncle and other family members. We went to Shkreli, because we don't know anyone else, we went because he is the mayor. We only met him when we complained to him about the electricity, we haven't discussed it or spoken to him since then. I wasn't guided to vote by Kristian Shkreli. I went to vote", Alfred Martini testified.
SPAK then continued reading the intercepts.
SPAK: On April 13, you, witness, were wiretapped, you spoke with Kristian Shkreli. Also another conversation on April 18. Can you explain to me what Toma represents? Who is Toma?
Witness: Toma is Tom Doshi, we didn't talk about interest. I went to the rally because I didn't even clearly understand what it was about. We had no interest.
SPAK reads other intercepts: "Are you going to start working on bringing them some lights, I don't know if they've had any checks at OSHE. Come on man, we're going to get into trouble, man, we have people in Montenegro, we have to bring them from there. Speak up, man, we're going to get into trouble too."
Witness: At this moment my brother spoke, we were together, I heard the conversation.
SPAK has a conversation dated April 23: "Shkreli answers that they will come on Friday, they will start work because they have ordered poles that they did not have, on Friday they will come with a crane and poles to place them."
SPAK: What did you discuss in this conversation?
Witness: I don't have any more answers to give. I'm not bothered by this, I have no interest, he's a good guy, a man of his word (referring to Shkreli).
SPAK: You had a conversation with a number registered in the name of Filip Bardel, on May 6, 2025.
"Hey Filip, you're tired, are you okay, you're tired, Christian called us, Toma is coming tomorrow to that 'Angelo' at 6 pm. To Angelo, there in Stajka. Here at the wedding bar, they're like you had that day, but the others are coming too. It's good to be there because we need them for the road and other things. The nights we're here have to be at least tomorrow. Come on, good night, see you later."
Witness: Yes, we went to the rally that took place in Stajka. Those people we were with before. We went as a sign of respect.
SPAK: On May 6th in the afternoon, you communicated with another number.
"It's not a child's play, we have to be a man to that man, if I can't leave my work, but he won't leave his work to bring you votes either. I'm taking one in your place, because I have nothing to say, because you've done it twice since you went against him."
SPAK: What did you talk about with citizen Jakë Bardheli?
Witness: I told him to go out of respect, that it is not forbidden to go to rallies.
Kristian Shkreli's lawyer: Has my client offered you anything, money, a job for himself, for his wife, for his family, for any family member?
Witness Alfred Martini: No, he didn't offer me anything. I asked him to fix our electricity line. Shkreli didn't ask me for anything in return.
