Ylli Manjani, invited to the show "Breaking" with Fiori Dardha on Top News, has raised strong accusations against the justice system in the country.
According to him, security measures are being issued unilaterally, with the courts, as he put it, "taking the side of the prosecution" and automatically justifying requests for prison arrest.
Manjani stated that after the justice reform, a culture has been created where prosecutors are seen as "saviors", while the role of the court has been weakened.
"In Albania, after the justice reform, a culture was created that prosecutors are bringing us to safety. Prosecutors are the ones who will save Albania, but here we are, not only because prosecutors do not save Albania, because there is no country in the world that prosecutors save. Justice is done by the courts, not prosecutors. If the judge makes the sentence a fact in public, if we have let the judge control the judge, can anyone say that there are independent judges in this country? This is pure Bolshevik. It has nothing to do with communism. Even the Russian court accepts 90 percent of the prosecutors' claims," he said.
