The Traffic Police have called on all drivers to exercise increased caution over the weekend, as heavy rain is expected.

The traffic police appeal to drivers to be careful with speeding, wrong overtaking, alcohol consumption, etc.

The Traffic Police also announces that it is present on national, urban and rural road axes, using intelligent speed measurement tools, drones and breathalyzers.

APPEAL FOR MORE CARE DURING THE WEEKEND

Given the numerous violations observed by the Traffic Police services, mostly during the weekends, violations that pose a great risk of involvement in road accidents, as well as the fact that it is expected that there will be rain during the weekend, the Traffic Police appeals to all drivers of vehicles and motorcycles:

Be careful on road axes where there may be water present.

Do not drive vehicles or motorcycles at speeds exceeding the permitted speed limits.

Not to drive vehicles and motorcycles under the influence of alcohol or, worse yet, while intoxicated, but to use public transportation vehicles.

To fasten seat belts and force passengers to do so as well.

Do not overtake or behave aggressively on the road and do not use a cell phone while driving.

For all motorcyclists, cyclists and skateboarders:

At night, wear fluorescent vests to make yourself visible in traffic in dark conditions.

Put a protective helmet on your head.

The Traffic Police is present on national, urban and rural road axes, using intelligent speed measurement tools, drones and breathalyzers.

In case of need, call the toll-free number 112 and the Police services will come to your aid immediately.
