Starting September 2 of this year, there will be changes to the visa application procedure in the United States of America.

The US Embassy in Tirana announces via social media that all non-immigrant visa applicants, including those seeking renewal, will be required to appear for an interview with a consular officer.

"Beginning September 2, 2025, nonimmigrant visa applicants in most visa categories, including those renewing, will be required to appear for an interview with a consular officer. This change affects most visa categories and is intended to strengthen screening and evaluation procedures," the announcement states.

The Embassy calls on citizens to be informed in a timely manner through the official website to avoid delays or misunderstandings during the application process.
