74-year-old Skënder Cena is the oldest high school graduate who entered today to take the English exam in Kamëz. Cena, born on 08.11.1951, is an old man with an iron will who chose to knock on the doors of Kamëz Vocational High School again.
He registered to take the foreign language exam that will be held on June 3 and then to receive his state high school diploma, in the "transportation services" branch.
So what is Skënder's story? And why does he return to this school with the hope of successfully completing the cycle? The old man completed the learning process, the part-time cycle, in 2016. That year, he took all the exams except for the foreign language English.
The only way for him to graduate is to take the exam and get a passing grade. So he filled out the A1Z form, to appear for the exam and be assisted because he has poor eyesight.
Today he will sit at the school desk to take the exam, even though he is 74 years old. Examples like Skënder's prove that it is never too late to get an education. And this example should be followed by young people.
