In danger, 19-year-old Albanian rescued in Sierra Leone and repatriated

After several days of intense efforts, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania has managed to successfully repatriate a young Albanian man, who was in danger in Sierra Leone.

The request for assistance came from the mother of the 19-year-old, FT, a few days ago, and the MEPJ immediately took the situation under consideration. Through diplomatic channels and with coordinated support from local authorities and international partners, a rapid and effective response was enabled.

With the efforts of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the operation was successfully concluded within a short period, enabling the young man to return safe and healthy to his family.

The MEPJ expresses its most sincere thanks to all authorities that participated in this operation and assures that it will continue to provide tireless support to Albanian citizens, wherever they are.

Details about the dangerous situation the young Albanian was in were not disclosed.
