The Tirana Court has accepted the prosecution's request and has sent the case file against Mario Përlleshin, the minor who is suspected of stabbing his peer Martin Cani, to trial.

The decision was made today in a closed-door session attended by the family of the late Martin, along with his friend, Luis, who was injured in the serious incident that shook the country in November last year.

Last month, through his defense attorney, Mario Përlleshaj submitted a request to the Court of Appeals for a replacement personal security measure. After review, the Court of Appeals in Tirana dismissed the request.

Martin Cani was killed on November 18th a few meters from the "Fan Noli" school in the capital. His friend, Luis Meçja, was also injured in the fight.
