Convict Fotaq Zaharia, born on May 29, 1960 in Vlora, passed away at 01:10 on August 26, 2024 in the Reanimation of QSUT.

Zaharia was hospitalized with respiratory failure and was being treated since August 16, 2024.

The convict was serving a sentence of 25 years for murder and was initially admitted to the Prison Hospital on July 22, 2024.

The deterioration of his health condition required his transfer to QSUT for specialized care. Heads of the Institution, Police Station No. 4 and the Prison Internal Control Service (SHKBB) have been notified of further procedural steps.
