Bad weather/ The most problematic situation in Shkodër and Lezhë

According to the latest data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies in the Civil Protection Agency, the situation as a result of the intense rainfall in the country is problematic, especially in the districts of Shkodra and Lezha.

Over 240 members of the Armed Forces, with 25 motor vehicles and special equipment for flooding are concentrated in these two districts, in addition to other operational forces.

Due to the presence of water in the houses, 50 families were evacuated in the municipality of Shkodër and 3 families in the village of Gruemire, municipality of Malësi e Madhe. The evacuees have taken shelter in school dormitories and near their relatives.

A family has been evacuated from the village of Mabe, in Lezhë, who have taken refuge with their relatives.

After intensive searches, it has become possible to find the bodies of father and son, in the village of Dedaj, who were swept away by the water flow of the stream in the place called "Grykë Lugje", Bogë village, Shkrel administrative unit, Malësie Madhe municipality.

ARRSH employees are in the field all the time to clear the blocked axles. It has become possible for residents of areas where there are problems to pass through other alternative routes.

On the road axis Shkodër-Lezhë, in the place called "Harku i Bërdica", the crossing is made in the direction of Black Stone.

The situation has also normalized in the old Milot-Burrel axis, where there was a fall of stones. Power supply is guaranteed in most of the areas, where there was damage from the rains, after non-stop work by OSHEE field workers.

The situation is being closely followed in other municipalities of the country, such as Dibra, Kukes, Tropoja, Durres, Tirana, etc.

The effectives of the Armed Forces, under the coordination of the Civil Protection Agency, all the capacities of the fire service, the State Police, the civil emergency structures, the medical service are all engaged in the field in any case of need.

We call on the residents of the areas most affected by the rains, to be careful during these critical hours, to seek the help of the authorities in any case and without delay.
