Aleks Burreli, 55 years old, from the village of Suç i Matit and Edinjo Pulti, 37 years old, from Shkodra, continue to be the only Albanians on Europol's "Most Wanted" list.

Recently updated, this list includes a total of 45 people from all over Europe who are wanted for serious criminal offences, most of them for crimes against the person, murder and mass killings.

In the last update, several foreigners wanted for murder, as well as two Albanians, were added to the list.

 Alex Burreli, who is also known as Gani, is wanted internationally by Cyprus for the murder of a Cypriot businessman, and not only, on June 23, 2016.

At that time, 55-year-old Burreli opened fire at a table in a restaurant where businessman Fanos Kalopsidiotis was dining, leaving him dead on the spot along with 2 other people at the table, and 2 others injured. In the same event, Jani Vogli, then 41 years old, an associate of Burrell, was killed.

The 55-year-old was the first to be included in Europol's "Most Wanted" list, and since then he has not been located by partner agencies.

A year later, another compatriot, Edinjo Pulti, was added to the list. The 37-year-old from Shkodran is wanted to be arrested by Luxembourg for attempted murder. On August 2, 2020 he was involved in a fight in Pétange. Several men, including one armed with a knife, fought in the city center According to Europol, Pulti stabbed two people several times, one of them in the stomach. Pulti is a well-known name in Albanian justice for an injury many years ago. He was arrested in 2022 in our country, but due to the lack of an extradition agreement with Luxembourg, he was released, considering that there is no open criminal case in the country.

In the list of 45 people wanted by Europol, the two Albanians are not considered high risk, despite 17 others who are considered very dangerous, due to monstrous crimes committed over the years.
