The Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, visited the hospital 3 police officers who were injured during the opposition protest in the streets of Tirana.

"Those who orchestrated tonight's ugly show on the streets of Tirana have already gone to their families. Meanwhile, those who unfortunately cannot return tonight to their family are three police officers, who were injured and will stay in the hospital, for the sole reason that they were on duty. I thanked the three officers and wished them a quick return home," the minister wrote in a post on Facebook.

"I thank once again all the Police employees who were provoked, hit and even injured, but showed the professionalism and prudence of a force that reacts only proportionally, as a European force and a European state".

The minister criticized the behavior of the protesters.

"Today they faced a crowd deranged by an absurd political motivation, where some individuals crossed the line of the law with reprehensible acts. Even the ambulance road was blocked, or the headquarters of an opposing political party was attacked like never before in a democratic country (apart from the classic repetitions of blind attacks on the walls of central institutions or the burning of "government" trees, which were not missing even tonight). But despite the absurdity of today's appearance of a "civil disobedience", which insults the intelligence of every citizen of this country, the State Police performed its duty in accordance with the best democratic practices", the minister wrote.

"The orchestrators of this uncivil show tonight will sleep in their homes and will not disturb their sleep, not even for those perverted by the bluff of "civil disobedience" who will spend the night as persons wanted for their illegal acts. Every act is documented and every author of illegal acts is now subject to law enforcement bodies. I guarantee the citizens of this country that the bluff of civil disobedience will not produce anything other than a proportionate and exhaustive response by law enforcers to law breakers."
