The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has given a statement from prison regarding his being named as a defendant by SPAK. Through a phone call with his lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, Meta says that he has not yet been informed of the accusation, while he leveled accusations at SPAK.

According to Meta, the Socialist Party won the elections thanks to SPAK and that the government, as a reward, will extend the mandates of the prosecutors of the anti-corruption structure, who, according to the former president, do not "understand intellectual crimes."

According to Meta, SPAK with the election task force hit the opposition, but not the majority.

Among other things, Meta said that Meze is looking forward to confronting SPAK prosecutors in the courtroom to show journalists and the international community that SPAK is "an organization in the service of Edi Rama."

Meta emphasized that he will win the electoral process, while thanking the citizens who voted for him in the May 11 elections.
