The nightmare has come to an end for the residents of district No. 17 of the city of Korça, where a 71-year-old man terrorized the citizens for almost two hours by firing a gun from the balcony of his apartment on the first floor.

Edmond Naska allegedly suffers from mental health problems. He started shooting at cars parked near his apartment. While for several hours RENEA tried to negotiate with him.

The Special Forces were able, a few moments ago, to tear the bars of the balcony and entered the apartment, arresting him.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Police Notification:

Today, around 10:20, in neighborhood no. 16, it is suspected that the EN citizen, 71 years old, with mental problems, fired a firearm from the balcony of his apartment (on the first floor of a building).  

The local Police Services intervened immediately, creating a security perimeter and evacuating the residents of the area.  

No citizen was injured in the shooting.

The services of the RENEA Special Department are going to the scene of the event, to intervene to neutralize the citizen Edmond Naska, who has closed the door of the apartment.

Meanwhile, the Police services, with security measures for their lives, are keeping the apartment surrounded.

There is currently no danger to the lives of the residents.
