The police of Korça have reacted in relation to the gunshots recorded in district no. 16 of the city.

It is learned that the person who shot from the balcony of his apartment is 71-year-old Edmond Naska .

According to the Korca police, the 71-year-old is a person with mental problems. 

Police services have created a security perimeter and evacuated the residents of the area.

Police notification:

Today, around 10:20, in neighborhood no. 16, it is suspected that the EN citizen, 71 years old, with mental problems, fired a firearm from the balcony of his apartment (on the first floor of a building).

The local Police Services intervened immediately, creating a security perimeter and evacuating the residents of the area.

No citizen was injured in the shooting.

The services of the RENEA Special Department are going to the place of the event, to intervene to neutralize the EN citizen, who has closed the door of the apartment.

Meanwhile, the Police services, with security measures for their lives, are keeping the apartment surrounded.

There is currently no danger to the lives of the residents.
