The police of Kurbin have arrested 53-year-old Van Rica, who fired a pistol yesterday afternoon in the corridor of the headquarters of the PD branch.

He is accused of the criminal offenses "Unauthorized possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Intimidation" and "Disturbance of public peace". Rica shot a gun after the conflict with the vice-president of the branch, Kastriot Marku, during the meeting of the Kurbin DP branch's Chair and the candidates for the primaries for the local elections.

Sources indicate that the cause of the conflict was the registration of sympathizers to vote in the "Primaries" process.

It is known that the 53-year-old Van Rica, who supported the candidate Edmond Shkoza, had asked for the membership of some sympathizers, but this was opposed by the vice-chairman of the PD branch of Kurbini, Kastriot Marku (Prenga) with the claim that the deadline for membership had ended.

There was a fierce argument between them, and during the ongoing argument, Rica shot a pistol inside the corridors of the Kurbin PD headquarters and then quickly left. Fortunately, no one was injured. It is known that he is an employee of a private police in Laç. 

The police confiscated the pistol firearm with which Rica fired inside the headquarters, as well as the cartridges at the scene.
