One of the perpetrators of the jewelry robbery in Kamëz was arrested this Thursday.

Elez Hyza has been arrested, while the second perpetrator of this robbery is still being sought.

It is also noted that several illegal items, valuable for the investigation, have been seized.

Police announcement:

Intensive investigative actions to identify and capture the perpetrators of the violent robbery at a jewelry store in Kamëz, on 16.05.2026.

Following the in-depth investigations conducted by the investigative group, to identify and capture 2 citizens who stole jewelry at gunpoint from a jewelry store in Kamëz, they have detained the following citizen on their own initiative:
-EH, 22 years old, resident of Krujë.

Investigations suspect that this citizen is implicated in the theft of a jewelry store owned by citizen OL, where a quantity of jewelry was taken.

Also, several illegal items, valuable for the investigation, were seized.

Work continues to identify and capture the accomplice and to fully document the case.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office for the criminal offense of "Theft by force", committed in collaboration.
