The Greek newspaper "Ta Nea" has dedicated a special article to the newest investigations of the Greek police on Albanian organized crime in Greece, which in recent years has been causing successive murders.
Five Albanian criminal groups that allegedly operate in prisons in Central and Southern Greece are responsible, according to senior officials of "EL.AS", for the bloody attacks that have been taking place in front of citizens in Athens in recent months.
In some of these groups, there are reports that police officers are also involved.
The main objective of about 15 criminal attacks that occurred in the last period is the control of cocaine and heroin traffic in various shelters of the capital and secondly the income from public houses, clubs, but also protection in bars, cafes, etc.
According to "To Vima", the Greek police believe that the attack in Nea Smyrni, where Kreshnik Cercizaj from Vlora and Armando Ogranaja from Tirana were killed, is related to the murder of 32-year-old Ari Papa from Saranda in a cafe in Sepolia in May 2021, without excluding the possibility to be the same killer.
"Furthermore it is said that there is evidence that may show that many of the current criminal attacks come from Albanian criminals, most of whom remain incarcerated, who were linked to a large central Albanian gang that operated from 2004-2008 in central Athens and elsewhere and was responsible for 11 murders.
According to EL.AS Officers. there are also "videos" of Albanian mobsters in Athens demonstrating Kalashnikovs, clashes with DIAS policemen, while some of them appear as bodyguards of young foreign music singers.
Even in one of these "video clips" they threaten the police saying that they "know where they live".
According to them, 15 central criminal organizations of Albania and their "branches" are active, which are related to the cocaine traffic (this activity is related to most of the murders in Greece) with Ndragheta and Camoran in Italy and with criminal networks in Colombia. Morocco, Santo Domingo, Spain and elsewhere. In addition, in the heroin traffic they have contacts with the Italian mafia of Puglia.
The competent Katekaki services in Greece are reported to have already drafted the branches and leaders of the Albanian mafia.
"To Vima" writes that one of the criminal groups is the one that operated in the years 2005-2008 in Agio Pantaleimona, Kolono, Metaksurgio, etc., where one of its main figures is Klodian L. (Klodian Lekocaj), who is accused of directing in prisons a group of 20 members, who are responsible for several events such as the bloody attack in Mikrolimano in 2014, the murder of a 44-year-old in the same year in Metaksurgio and the bloody attack on a lawyer in Penteli.
The same group executed the lawyer Mixali Zafiropoulo in 2017, 3 Albanians in prison, imposed a fine on the former minister and lawyer Dimitri Tsovola, was involved in robbery and drug trafficking and executed a 39-year-old Greek Roma on July 31, 2022. The Greek police did not excludes the possibility that the same group is hiding behind the attacks on 32-year-old Aristidhi P. (Ari Papa) in the center of Athens, who was then executed in Sepolia. The latter was a former member of this group, specifically of Agio Pantaleimonas.
Murders for hire
The Greek police are now focusing their attention on the arrest, in March 2019, of two Albanians (some of their accomplices remained uncaptured) in Corinth, who were the authors of some of the assassinations against Aristidhi P. (Ari Papa, to whom made 4 assassinations in total). It is suspected that any of this group may be connected to the bloody attack in Sepolia where their 32-year-old constant "target" lost his life, but also the last one in Nea Smyrni where Cercicaj and Ogranaja were killed.
There is still a research interest of the Greek police for two or three Albanians who are said to have the intention of executing "death contracts" and then to return to their homeland.
Also, an Albanian criminal is under observation, who is considered one of the main "handlers" of orders for murder not only for the Albanian mafia, but also for the Greek one.
The role of Sander Pemaj
The police thoroughly examines the possibility of whether a central group that took the name of a night club in Athens can be hidden behind the "war" of the Albanian mafia. According to some data from the police investigation, a leading figure may be a known Albanian criminal, imprisoned in Central Greece, who was accused of "murder for hire" and escape.
In the same group, according to the same assessments of the security bodies, is another Albanian accused of attempted murder (and against police officers in a bloody fight in Virona), armed robbery, drug trafficking, possession of Distinguished weapons and combat ammunition and escape from prisons.
The Albanian in question, known to be 44-year-old Sander Pemaj, who was also arrested for a large shipment of cocaine in Central Greece, seems to have had contact - according to an internal report of the security bodies - with Greek Police officials and individuals from Crete.
The role of Fabio Dushku
According to the estimates of the officials in Katekaki, the Albanian convict, 37-year-old FD (Fabio Dushku), who was convicted for robbery in Athens, the murder of a 25-year-old Albanian in Athens and the wounding of a person involved, is in contact with the same criminals. in human traffic in the capital.
Dushku was found to have had communications with active participants in the big escape plan from Koridhalos prisons in 2015, called "Gorgopotamos".
The role of Ralf Feruk and Dashamir Kasemi
The police have also focused their attention on another Albanian criminal with the initials DK, (Dashamir Kasemi) who was also involved in the above-mentioned gang of "bloodthirsty" of Agios Panteleimona and who a few weeks ago violated the permit given by a prison in Central Greece.
DK (Dashamir Kasemi), who was charged with both the murder of his former associate and a drug case, allegedly had a past rivalry with the murdered Ari Papa in Sepolia and also with his former associates .
In fact, the security authorities have previously recorded the activity of another Albanian who had tried to escape in March 2013 from Trikala prisons, in the known bloody project of the Albanian mafia that led to the murderous pursuit of fugitives in Central Greece and Northern.
