"Release me, I'm sick", GJKKO rejects "Cinco's"

The GJKKO rejects the request of Ermir Ndreaj, otherwise known as "Cinco", to be released from prison.

Ndreaj, who has been behind bars since July, is seeking a change of sentence for health reasons. He is currently staying in the prison hospital.

Ermir Ndreaj is accused of drug trafficking, and is suspected of smuggling tons of cocaine from Latin America to Europe, using "front" companies for trafficking.

“1. The applicant Ermir Ndreaj on 11.08.2025 submitted to the Court the request with
the subject: “Replacement of the security measure”, legal basis article 260/2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
2. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and
Organized Crime with a panel composed of judge Erjon Bani, based on articles
112 and 260 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, with decision no. 560, dated 13.10.2025, decided:
1. The rejection of the request submitted by the person under investigation Ermir Ndreaj.
2. The court costs are charged to the applicant.
3. An appeal may be filed against this decision at the Special Court of Appeal for
Corruption and Organized Crime within 5 (five) days, starting
from "the day after the announcement of this decision," the court's announcement states.
