Socialist Party MP Marjana Koçeku raised her voice this Monday at the Parliament podium about the water pollution of the Drin River.

Koçek appeared on the podium with his tools, two large jars of water.

"I came today not with reports or statistics, but with two bottles of water. This is the water of the Drini River as my grandfather remembers it, alive, cold and pure, as it once was."

While this is the water of the Drin today, as seen by thousands of guests who come from all over the world to see Albania and all the beauties of our country.

"In fact, it is the water that I explain with great shame when they ask me what has happened to the river in this country. I am a member of parliament for Shkodra and there are over 30 guesthouse owners who are in trouble when tourists ask them about the state of the river," said Koçeku.
