Journalist Elton Qyno has provided further details regarding the latest SPAK operation, where arrest warrants were issued for a structured criminal group led by Ervin Mata.
Invited to Ora News, Qyno said that Erzen Breçani and Ervin Mata were part of a drug trafficking group operating in Albania, Europe and Latin American countries. According to him, Ervin Mata's father was also charged with drug trafficking, as he invested the money earned from drugs in the construction business in Tirana.
"Brecan was arrested near the stadium, while the match with the Faroe Islands was taking place. The warrant for his arrest was issued by SPAK because he is part of a group that operated in Albania, Europe and Latin American countries. Breçani has a close relationship with one of the wanted persons, such as Ervin Mata. They spend their financial assets in Albania, but this does not give them the title of businessmen because they do not do it legally. They have set up a business with constructions in Tirana mainly. They invest in buildings. Mata's father is also on record for dealing in narcotics. Significant amounts of cocaine have been seized in many countries, and subsequent arrest warrants have been issued for these people ," said Qyno.
