The Police Supervision Agency has suspended from duty today a police officer in Lushnja. It is about the inspector with initials GR, 43 years old, acting Special Assistant for community policing at the Lushnje Police Station.

This decision came after the Court of Lushnja has assigned today to this citizen the security measure of prohibitive character "Suspension of exercising a duty or public service".

"The decision against this citizen was taken by the Lushnja Judicial District Court on the basis of procedural materials sent by the Regional Directorate of AMP Fier-Berat, which using special investigation methods under the direction of the Prosecutor, has provided evidence proving that he has committed the criminal offenses of "Abuse of Duty" and "Passive Corruption by Persons Exercising Public Functions". it is stated in the notification of AMP.

In the reaction of AMP it is further stated that in violation of the law and its organic function, Inspector GR, with his actions and inactions, during 2021, has allowed and favored the performance of illegal constructions.
