A 27-year-old man has been declared wanted by the Tirana police, and a 32-year-old man has been handcuffed during an operation in "Kodra e Diellit" in the capital.

The police say that the man from Tirana and the man from Lacia were traveling in two different cars when they noticed the police and left. The 27-year-old from Laçi threw a pistol-type firearm on the ground while leaving.

It is finalized by Police Station No. 1, in cooperation with the Special Force Sector "Eagle", the coded police operation "Hill of the Sun".

He did not obey the order of the police officers to stop the vehicle, threw a pistol firearm on the ground and ran away, the 27-year-old is identified and declared wanted.

The pistol firearm is seized.

Services of Police Station No. 1, in cooperation with the "Eqiponja" Special Force Sector, following the work to combat illegalities, based on the information provided on the operative route, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Hill of the Sun".

During the operation, at Kodra e Diellit, the Police services located two vehicles that were stopped, but their drivers did not obey the orders and tried to leave. One of them abandoned the vehicle and ran away throwing a pistol firearm on the ground, while the other driver was caught and detained together with the passenger.

Following the actions, the driver who abandoned the vehicle, citizen AI, 27 years old, resident of Laç, was identified and declared wanted. The work for his capture continues.

In addition, the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the citizen EP, 27 years old, resident in Laç, for the criminal offense of "Disobeying the order of the police officers", as he did not obey the order to stop the vehicle, as well as for the citizen EA, 31 years old, resident in Tirana, the passenger in this vehicle, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", as during the physical check, combat ammunition was found.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further procedural actions.
