The interceptions of the Special Prosecutor's Office revealed the role of 11 people involved in the trafficking of 430 kg of cocaine that arrived in Albania from Colombia hidden in chemical fertilizer.
Sources from SPAK confirmed that the investigators have placed interceptors in the vehicle owned by Nikolin Gjolen, who is also described as a financier of the criminal group.
From the recorded conversations, it appears that the 34-year-old Gjolena talks with the other members of the group about the monetary gains they would make from the amount of cocaine.
While, according to the investigators, Viktor and Zenel Cervanaku have provided the environment and through the opening of a private company, they also ordered 26 tons of chemical fertilizer to camouflage the cocaine traffic.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the interceptions and follow-ups have shown that the other investigators cooperated for the movement and provision of narcotics.
Although the Prosecutor's Office says that it has documented criminal activity, the investigators claimed that they are not connected to drug trafficking. Nikolin Gjolena through the lawyer told the Court that there is no connection and the goods were ordered by other people.
On the other hand, the defense of the Cervanaku family and other investigators told the court that there is no expert report on the amount of cocaine among the chemical fertilizer, whether it is or not, denying that they ordered it.
In the investigation file, it is stated that the presence of two Colombian citizens, who are suspected to have entered Albania illegally, was also ascertained from the interceptions and environmental observations. Both of them are suspected of carrying out the process of separating cocaine from chemical fertilizer.
