This Tuesday, May 12, 2026, a court hearing was held at the GJKKO, in charge of the mayor of Vau i Dejës, Kristian Shkreli, who is accused of electoral corruption.

Witness AL confirmed that he does not know the mayor and indicated his duties as an electrician for power lines in the villages of Shkodra.

Shkreli's lawyer stated that "the witness has laid the wire, this process is becoming ridiculous because the mayor has not committed any crime, as long as he has offered support to residents for their needs, while the investment was made by OSHEE."

But, SPAK objected to witness AL.

" The witness gave another statement during the preliminary investigation ," said prosecutor Dritan Prenci.

Another witness employed as an electrician by OSHEE indicated that he covered several villages as an electrician.

SPAK:  Are you aware of any repairs to these lines in the village of Stajkë? The elections were held in May 2026, can you tell me if you worked before or after the elections?

Witness:  I don't remember anything. My boss JD took me to lay a cable, October was the start of the work. There were locals and OSHEE, there were other electricians too.

SPAK:  What kind of work would you do?

Witness:  I was going to lay a cable.

SPAK:  What problems did this line have?

Witness:  I don't know, I have no knowledge.

The mayor's lawyers:  Who ordered you to work on repairs in the village of Stajka?

Witness:  JD

Lawyer:  Is this routine?

Witness:  Yes, yes.

Lawyer: Do you know Kristian Shkreli?

Witness:  I neither know him nor have I spoken to him.

Lawyer:  What actions did you take that day?

Witness:  He laid the cable with his feet.

Lawyer:  Does OSHEE Shkodra region have such vehicles with cranes and forklifts?

Witness:  I don't know, I saw these tools in the center.

Lawyer:  Since the prosecutor is asking whether or not he stretched the cable, and this process was done with the cable stretched, I have no other questions for the witness.

SPAK:  I request a partial rebuttal of the testimony of witness KF because he stated otherwise during the preliminary investigation into the means. I leave that to the judge.

We recall that Kristjan Shkreli has been indicted by SPAK, as he is suspected of illegally influencing votes in favor of the Social Democratic Party of Albania during the May 11 parliamentary elections.

According to SPAK's investigations, Shkreli was actively involved in the election campaign in support of the PSD, exploiting the needs of the residents of the village of Stajka for the construction of the electricity network.

This investment was made during the electoral campaign period, while it is suspected that in return, residents of the area were asked to vote for his preferred political entity, the Social Democratic Party.
