Moments of panic were recorded at Athens International Airport after a Lufthansa plane was forced to make an emergency landing a few minutes after taking off from Athens.
The Airbus A321 aircraft, which was flying to Munich, had taken off normally from the runway, but the crew reported a technical problem during the flight and requested an immediate return to the airport for safety reasons.
According to Greek media reports, the plane landed in a controlled manner, and emergency procedures were activated immediately after stopping. Passengers were quickly evacuated via safety slides, amid tension and confusion on board.
Fire trucks and emergency crews were on the runway, assisting passengers and securing the area until the operation was completed.
Greek authorities report that all passengers and crew members are out of danger, while only two people are reported to have suffered minor injuries during the evacuation.
