Andrew (Edvin) Bode, wanted for the murder of Edmond Pope in Selitë in Tirana in December 2022, has been arrested by an operation carried out by the Renea forces and the police of Gjirokastra.

Andrea alias Adriatik Kalemi and Julian Kalemi, who had sheltered Andrew Boden in the apartment, were also arrested.

Andrew Bode, 44 years old, originally from Berat, is suspected of being the executioner of Edmond Papa on December 16 in the Selita area of ​​Tirana.

Bode, also known as Edvin Bode, but due to problems with justice, he changed it a few years ago. However, in the civil registry, he is registered under the name Andrew Bode.

It is suspected that Bode was helped by Albano Velo to eliminate the Pope to avenge the murder of Aleksandr Sadikaj in June 2022. Sadikaj was assassinated with tritol and the young man could not survive his wounds.

How Edmond Pope was executed

The Pope was executed on the evening of December 16 at the entrance of a bar on "Fadil Bodinaku" street in Tirana.

He was just sitting in the bar when he was shot with 9 bullets by a masked person. Although the 49-year-old was taken to the Trauma Hospital, he could not survive his injuries.

The businessman, originally from Rroskovec, lived between Saranda and England.

He had come to Tirana on December 16 to his brother, who lived a few meters away from the bar where he was shot to death. Eyewitnesses told the police that he fought back at the perpetrator, shooting him with an ashtray on the table.

Who is Andrea Kalemi?

Andrea Kalemi alias Adriatik Kalemi is the cousin of Aleksandër Sadikaj who was killed two years ago.

51-year-old Kalemi was assassinated in Greece in August 2023 while he was on vacation with his family. He was shot 10 times in the harbor of Lakkas, on the island of Paxos.

The Greek police then reported that it was an assassination attempt to wash accounts and reported that the assassin was an Albanian who came from Italy.

On August 5, 2023, Kalemi had passed through Kakavija with his wife and 3 children, while he is a person with significant criminal records.
