The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti accused the special envoy of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak.

"On September 14, there was a clear position of the mediator against Kosovo in particular, against the agreement in general. Either they will implement the basic agreement or we cannot implement what Serbia wants. This logic is dead", said Kurti.

On September 14, a tripartite meeting was held in Brussels between Kurt, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, and Lajcak.

This meeting had no result, even though international expectations were high, where Borell said that both parties should take their obligations seriously.

Immediately after the meeting, the head of the Serbian state affirmed that the negotiations with the Prime Minister of Kosovo ended unsuccessfully "in the sense of finding a clear path towards the normalization of relations". 

"It is clear that Kurt, simply, avoids the formation of the Association... This is the essence of everything. "Serbia does not deviate from its obligations," said Vucic.

On the other hand, after the meeting, Kurti did not mention Lajçak: "It is a pity that Lajçak has accepted such a condition and has done so in violation of his role as a facilitator of dialogue."
