A $1 million McLaren p1 ended up half submerged in the flooded streets of the Naples neighborhood due to Hurricane Ian in Florida.
According to the New York Post, the owner of the yellow supercar, named Ernie, posted photos on Instagram showing the catastrophic aftermath.
As he explains in Instagram posts, the McLaren P1 was in his garage when the water level started to rise, causing the car to go outside the garage door.
In one of the photos, which the supercar enthusiast appears to have taken after cleaning the water, another impressive car in his collection, a blue Lamborghini, is seen completely upside down next to the McLaren.
The car, whose price starts at 200,000 euros according to the American site, looks in bad shape, with weeds sticking to the wheels and a pile of "garbage" in the cabin.
Many of Ernie's followers were quick to express their sorrow at his misfortune and give him encouragement.
"I'm so sorry, the picture breaks my heart", wrote one user, while some tried to comfort him by emphasizing that at least he is in good health and that the damage he suffered is only material.
However, there were also those who used the opportunity to joke, referring to a previous post of the man, before the cyclone hit.
