"When I went to Kuwait... Here's how Edi Rama's stance on Islam
Edi Rama during the iftar meal at the Palace of Congresses

Socialist Party candidate Edlira Durmishaj spoke about a photograph of Prime Minister Edi Rama from several years ago, where he appears stepping on the carpet of a Muslim believer while the latter was praying.

Durmishi said that Edi Rama has changed his stance on Islam and for this she quotes some of his words.

"The fact that you mentioned about a photo of Rama stepping on the carpet of a believer who was praying... was about 12 or 15 years ago. Einstein says only the insane do not change."

It's a fact, but it was 20 years ago. After 20 years, this gentleman is saying this lady who is a practicing believer, I want her on my electoral lists.

I am very honored to be on open lists, because if I were on closed lists I would be read as a militant.

Rama said, 'I was the person who had this negative idea about Islam and Muslims, and I vomited this when I went to Kuwait and saw the model of Islam there ,' Durmishaj said on A2 CNN.
