The National Cyber Security Authority has appealed to citizens to be cautious of messages that may arrive on their phones regarding vehicle fines, because they are fraudulent schemes.
According to AKSK, a fraudulent message announcing fines is intended to obtain personal data, therefore such SMS, known as "smishing" in the cyber world, should not be clicked on and should be deleted.
"The message contains a fraudulent link and requests online payments. This is not an official communication from state institutions and any citizen who receives this SMS should ignore it and not click on the link or provide personal data. AKSK has immediately taken measures to report the blocking of the page, to prevent any possible damage," AKSK announced.
