One of the protesters against the Thumanë-Kashar road has warned the authorities to stop the road works.

He said that they will not allow the start of the works, stressing that if their voice is not heard, the road will have the fate of Shkodra Castle.

"I have documents that the land here was sold, here is the notarial deed dated December 31, it was sold for 50 euros per meter. Where did Mr. Barber find 4 euros per square meter here? Or they get paid for nothing and do no work. The letters came to us from the authority where the firm says that until November 3 there was no construction permit. On December 14, the state approved a development permit.

Let's not compare it with Fushë Preza. We have our own rules and our own laws. We will not spare this land for the interests of rulers and oligarchs. This road will have the fate of Shkodra Castle. It will be done with a tombstone without starting the works. We require market evaluation and certified equipment. The firm has developed 17% of the works, without obtaining the permit yet. I have been waiting for a response from the institutions for two weeks.

Today I am still not given any answer. I will block the road whenever I feel like it. Until they come to sit down in negotiations with us, don't think it's so easy, the measures will be very drastic for these rulers who don't negotiate with us" , declared the resident.
