A 27-year-old Albanian man has been sentenced in the United Kingdom for migrant trafficking. Floreand Lika, was sentenced to four years and four months in prison. The 27-year-old sent illegal immigrants to Great Britain.
The Portsmouth court declared today that he was responsible for the departure of the Albanians via a ship from France. During the two trips, Lika was in telephone contact with one of the three men convicted earlier this year for the same criminal offense.
A ship traveling from Cherbourg arrived at East Cowes Marina on 19 March 2020. There were 12 people on board who are suspected to be immigrants entering the UK illegally.
Between 26 and 27 June 2020, another small boat was captured. Six Albanians were on board, without the necessary entry permit to enter Britain. All of them turned out to have traveled with Lika's guarantee and as a result, the young Albanian was put in handcuffs.
