Four active fires throughout the country, the extinguishing of the fire in the

Four fires are active in Albania, according to data from the Ministry of Defense.

The National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies (QKOEC) at AKMC reports that from 09:00, to 16:30, on 25.08.2025, 10 fires were reported, of which 6 were extinguished and 4 others are active.

In Pishë-Poro, Vlora, the fire that broke out in a sandy terrain in the village of Delisuf of the Novoselë administrative unit was favored by the wind and took a large extension in the direction of the village of Pishë-Poro.

The sandy terrain does not allow operation with firefighting vehicles even though 3 fire trucks with 12 officers, 4 AdZM forces and 10 municipal forces are located in the area.

In support of the forces on the ground, four helicopters, two of the Albanian Air Force and two of the United Arab Emirates, flew from the Kuçova base.

Other active hotbeds are those in the Gërmenj Nature Park, the Leskovik administrative unit of the municipality of Kolonja, where the fire was reactivated today near pyramid 15. The firefighting forces from MZSH Kolonja are engaged in the field.

In the village of Peza Helmas, the administrative unit of Peza, municipality of Tirana, fire continues to be active in several hearths in a field without crossings and with dense vegetation that does not allow the intervention of the fire brigade. Local firefighters are on uninterrupted alert 24 hours a day, mainly near some apartments that are closer to the area, but far from the fire hearth itself.

In the village of Bogovë, the administrative unit of Bogovë, Skrapar municipality, a fire hearth was activated in a hangar, where it was then distributed to a forest area with pines. 3 service groups from MZSH Skrapar are operating at the scene. The situation is reported to be under control and does not pose a risk to the apartments.
