Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned that the demolition of illegal buildings is not just a temporary action, but an ongoing process that will not stop until this phenomenon is completely eliminated.
In a post published on Facebook, Rama emphasizes that this process will be accompanied in the coming days by a new package of legal measures.
"The demolition of illegal buildings, which has begun everywhere, is not an action, but a process that not only will not stop until this phenomenon is eliminated, but will also be accompanied in the coming days by a new package of measures to reduce this phenomenon, increasing the striking force of the law on the culprits and responsible persons at various levels, including the 'infiltrators' in the inspectorates, the police, and so on ," Rama writes.
The Prime Minister accompanies this post with a video from an action being carried out today at Cape Rodoni.
"These images are from the operation launched today in Cape Rodoni, Durrës Municipality, where another natural wonder has been abused for profit through illegal construction," he writes.
Prime Minister Rama has expressed his determination to combat unauthorized construction, while also announcing changes to the Law on Construction.
