The court of Lezha has released 30-year-old Gjergj Ndreca, the son of the uncle of Socialist MP Eduard Ndreca, from his cell, assigning him the security measure of "obligation to appear".

The decision was given by the judge Artan Hajredinaj, who used as an argument the request of the prosecutor Francesk Ganaj, who requested the dismissal of the charge and the appointment of a milder measure against the 30-year-old Gjergj Ndreca.

Gjergj Ndreca was declared wanted for a year for cultivating cannabis after the discovery of about 4 thousand cannabis sativa plants by the RENEA Special Forces in June 2021 in the area of ​​Ungrejt in Lezhë. For him, the court of Lezha had set the security measure of "arrest in prison" in July 2021.

Gjergj Ndreca was arrested on July 5 at the entrance to the city of Lezha, while he was traveling in a "Range Rover" together with Ervin Ndreca, as he is now enjoying freedom again.

Another relative of MP Ndreca, Ervin Ndreca, who was traveling in the same vehicle and is accused of not responding to the police during the operation, is also being investigated while at large.
