The "Top Story" show is discussing the accusations and accusations that have been made about the incinerators this evening.

Referring to the reinstatement of the incinerator of Elbasan, the former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ornela Çuçi, informed that incinerators in Albania are not just disposal of waste, but also energy production. She said that this practice is used in many EU countries.

"We don't just dispose of waste. We have incineration with energy recovery, this is a benefit for society, it is the best solution, it is also used in Stockholm and many other EU countries.

We know that for years Albania has been a big waste bin and we have not known waste management. There has never been an increase in GDP for waste management

Today Denmark recycles 46% and throws only 1% into landfills and turns the rest into energy production. We did not invent them, but they have been in EU countries for 20 years. Above all, we must be in a clean Albania, because the environment is health. Today, landfilling is no longer allowed in the EU and we have gone to another parameter that is recognized by all of Europe." said Chuçi.
