This morning, former President Ilir Meta was escorted from Prison 313 to the premises of the "Rogner" hotel in Tirana, where a reception for condolences will take place, following the passing of his father, Rexhep Metaj.

The Directorate of Prisons is escorting him under special security measures. 

The reception of condolences began at 09:00 in the morning and will close at 21:00.

Yesterday, Meta attended his father's funeral in Çepan, Skrapar, marking the first time he left prison.
