Rexhep and Ilir Meta

The Prison Police have taken the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, out of his cell to accompany him to the village of Çepan in Skrapar, where he will bid farewell to his father, Rexhep Meta, who passed away yesterday.

Meta is expected to attend the funeral ceremony that will take place in the family's hometown, under security measures and accompanied by police.

Former President Meta left the premises of Prison 313 at 7 am, while the funeral ceremony is expected to take place at 12:00.
