Cardiologist Edwin Prifi continues his battle with justice. He appealed to the High Court for the measure of suspension from duty for another 3 months that the Special Court approved against him.

The request of the Priest for the removal of the suspension measure from duty and his return to work will be reported by the member of the High Court, Sokol Binaj. The doctor is accused of selling a biological valve for 1.1 million ALL, claiming that he had bought it in private.

Edvin Prifiti had transplanted a woman who later passed away. Her two sons asked the doctor for the money he had taken from them for the valve, because their mother had not survived.

The well-known doctor reported to his patient's two sons that they were "squeezing him for giving property". The case ended up again in the hands of the SPAK prosecutors and this time at their request, the GJKKO suspended Edvin Prifti from office for the second time. According to the judiciary, he should stay "away" from the white apron until the end of the investigation.
